Privacy Policy
Effective October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information The Studio Commission collects through thestudiocommission.com, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what you choose to send us, we use it to respond to you, and we don't sell it or use it for advertising.
Who we are
The Studio Commission is a brand and website practice run by Rebecca Kay Creative Studio, LLC, based in Los Angeles, California. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean The Studio Commission.
What we collect
When you submit the inquiry form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Whatever you choose to tell us in your message
When you visit the site, our web host automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. This is standard for any website and is used to keep the site running and secure. We don't use analytics or advertising tracking on this site.
How we use it
- To read and reply to your inquiry
- To schedule and hold a conversation with you, if we both want one
- To prepare a proposal or agreement, if we decide to work together
- To keep the site secure and working
We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that make the site and our email work:
- GoDaddy hosts the website, including the copy of inquiry form submissions stored on it.
- Google Workspace delivers and stores our email, including the notification we receive when you submit the form.
- Adobe Fonts provides the typeface used on the site. When the page loads, your browser requests the font from Adobe, which receives your IP address. Adobe Fonts does not set cookies.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie, which remembers your choice in the cookie banner so we don't ask again. We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, the cookie banner will ask for your consent first, and this policy will be updated.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for up to two years after our last conversation, so we have context if you reach out again. If we work together, we keep project records for as long as our agreement and tax and legal obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct it
- Delete it
- Stop using it for anything other than what you asked us to do
California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, along with the right not to be discriminated against for using them. If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process inquiry information because you asked us to respond to you, and because it is necessary to take steps toward an agreement you may want to enter. To make any request, email us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to stored inquiries is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal information, such as financial or health details, through the form.
Children
This site is intended for business owners. It is not directed to anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
